AIMS — the Association of International Medical Students of Pleven — is the main organisation representing foreign students at MU-Pleven, and it takes part in the university’s official welcome for international students. If you send one message before you arrive, send it here.
They run freshers’ orientation, year-specific communities, sports and tournaments, social events, academic talks and student news.

Finding the WhatsApp group for your year
There is no single WhatsApp group. They’re split by intake year, academic year, class, nationality, dormitory and interest — which is why you won’t find a public link.
The safe way in: message AIMS on Instagram, or ask an admin in the official Facebook group. Something like:
Hello! I’m looking for the current WhatsApp group for international students at Medical University – Pleven, particularly for [your year/intake]. Could you send me the official invitation link, or connect me with the right student representative?
⚠️ Be careful with WhatsApp numbers advertised by overseas education agencies. These are usually recruitment contacts, not real student communities. Only join a group confirmed by AIMS or by a student who is actually enrolled.
Why it matters
Almost everything practical in a new city travels through these groups first — flats, second-hand furniture, lifts, football games, which lecturer wants what. Joining in your first week is the single fastest way to stop feeling like a stranger.
