Why students go
Terraced waterfalls with bright turquoise water falling through the forest — the most photographed natural site in the region, about 38 km from Pleven.
A wooden walkway climbs alongside the falls; the whole visit takes an hour or two.
Good to know
- Best paired with Devetashka Cave — they’re 20 minutes apart, and together they make a full day out of one car hire.
- Easiest with a car or a shared taxi; public transport is impractical.
- Open 08:00–20:00. There’s a small parking and entry charge.
- Wear shoes with grip — the walkway is wet and slippery, and people fall every summer.
- Go in spring or after rain for the strongest flow; late summer can be thin.
