⚠️ Call before you go. Published hours are Monday–Friday 08:30–17:30, but the service desks for foreigners often work shorter or different hours. A two-minute phone call saves a wasted morning.
Go prepared
Ask the International Students Center (Room 138) for the current document checklist before your first visit — they know exactly what Migration wants this year, and requirements change. Turning up with one missing paper usually means coming back another day.
Bring everything: passport, visa, enrolment certificate, rental contract, landlord’s notarized declaration, insurance, photos, and copies of all of it.
- Go early in the morning — queues build up.
- Take a friend who speaks Bulgarian if you can; English is not guaranteed at the desk.
